1980 Talbot-Matra Bagheera X
One of the very last Matra Bagheera ever produced. The car has Danish papers and registration dating back to April 1, 1980. The car is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. A car that can be enjoyed as is for many years to come. This is a true France classic that is becoming very difficult to find in this condition.
The Matra Bagheera was a sports car built by the automotive division of the French engineering group Matra in cooperation with automaker Simca. It was marketed as the Matra-Simca Bagheera until its final year of production, when its designation was changed to the Talbot-Matra Bagheera (this car). The nomenclature "X" on this car designates the fully-loaded version on this car.

History of the 1973-1980 SIMCA/Talbot-Matra Bagheera:
At the end of 1979, Peugeot took control of Simca and changed the name of the brand to Talbot . This acquisition has consequences for Matra since the Bagheera S is stopped and the rest of the range displays the brand "Talbot-Matra". Little by little, the Bagheera was stopped, only the Bagheera X was resisted for a few months, the sale of which ceased in September 1980. In the end, over eight years, 47,796 copies were sold, a great success for the Builder of Romorantin-Lanthenay, leaving the Murena as heiress.
1442 cc engine:
1442 cc was introduced in 1975, this larger model carries the 6Y engine code. The 6Y1 has a single carburetor while the 6Y2 has a double barrel one, and the 6Y4 has twin, double-barrel carbs. Matra Bagheera - 1976-1980.
